This is Itaewon tourist information.



We searched for some information on the places to enjoy climbing indoors and

outdoors.

and called some of the places to get some more detailed information.



There are a few more places where you can try it besides the places introduced

below,

but we have found the places below are large ones.

1. 아트 클라이밍 센터(Art Climbing Center)

Indoor artificial climbing wall

Opening hours:

  from Monday through Friday: 10:00a.m. ~ 10:00p.m.

  On Saturdays: 10:00a.m. ~ 6:00 p.m.



Charge:

For one month's membership: 60,000

For a whole day: 7,000



Equipment:

You should bring your climbing shoes(roughly around 70,000),

and some basic eqipments.(They also sell such equipment there.)

From their information it will cost you around 80,000~90,000

to get all the necessary equipment including climbing shoes.

Location:

* Exit 1 of Jongno 5 ga station(#129) on subway line 1

* A couple of minutes' walk will take you to'보령약국(Bo-ryeong pharmacy).

* At the coner of the pharmacy an alley stretches on your right.

* Take the alley, and near a parking lot in the alley

  there is a sign board shows the place.





2. 응봉산 암벽 등반 공원(Eung-bong mountain climbing wall park)



Ourdoor climbing wall



The largest climbing wall in Seoul.



Open hours:

9:30a.m. ~ 9:30 p.m. (from March through October)

9:30a.m. ~ 5:00 p.m. (from November through February)

* In winter season it's hard for the climbers to use the facility

   from the cold weather.



Free of charge.



You should bring the necessary equipment with you.

Location:

*From Eung-bong subway staion (# K127)

  it takes about 7minutes by walk.

*In Itaewon take a regular bus # 81 (600), and get off at

응봉동 현대아파트(Eung-bong dong, Hyun-dae apt.)

*And ask the locals for  

응봉산 암벽 등반 공원(Eung-bong mountain climbing wall park).
